COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT VIRTUAL DESIGN

WHY DO YOU DO VIRTUAL DESIGN?

Sidney was being approached by potential clients who needed design help but only wanted to do one room at a time, were on limited budgets and/or wished to complete some of the work themselves. So she created D[e]SIGN, a set of virtual design services that allow her to work with clients all over the nation (or just down the street)!

WHY SHOULD I DO VIRTUAL DESIGN?

Once the Design Plan is complete, you are in control of how much and when you finish your space(s)! You can purchase items on your timeline buying everything at once, or slowly over the year. Additionally, you can follow the Design Plan exactly or use it as inspiration for designing your room[s]. 

WHAT SIZE BUDGETS DO YOU WORK WITH?

All sizes!  We have an array of D[e]SIGN Services to meet all projects needs and budgets. Additionally, if we’re designing a room for you, you provide your allotted budget and we create a Design Plan that works within your means.

WILL YOU COME TO MY HOUSE AND IMPLEMENT YOUR DESIGN?

We do not offer installation, assembly or set-up services through our D[e]SIGN Services. However, with our virtual design we provide you with a comprehensive plan including specific Design Instructions so that you can style your space just as Sidney would!

WHAT IF I WANT TO WORK WITH SWD BUT MY NEEDS DO NOT MATCH YOUR CURRENT SERVICE OFFERINGS?

Email us and we can see if we can come up with a plan that works for both of us! Be as specific as you can about your wants/needs including timeline and budget. 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Each D[e]SIGN Service varies in price, but we have worked hard to create a service to meet each of your design needs.

WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME?

It takes us approximately 4-6 weeks depending on which D[e]SIGN Service you selected. We will provide a better timeline for your in our initial communication. All digital Design Plans will be emailed in a downloadable and printable PDF.

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE EVERYTHING PRESENTED IN MY DESIGN PLAN?

We want you to LOVE your new design! So we will work with you to include one round of edits until you sign off on the Design Plan. Please note that anything exceeding the normal initial round of edits will warrant additional design time, billing at an hourly rate.

Can some of my existing furniture pieces be incorporated into the design plan?

Of course! Incorporating your own purchases and special finds is what adds personality to a home.

What happens if I wait to purchase an item and then it’s no longer available?

If an item we suggested in the Design Plan is discontinued you can always shop for a similar item. However, we recommend before purchasing any of our services, you wait until you are financially and practically ready to implement a design change in your home. The world of manufactured goods is rapidly changing and retailers are always closing, so there are no guarantees that the item specified today will be available in six months from now.

Can I purchase a D[e]SIGN Service as a gift?

Absolutely! Our D[e]SIGN Services make wonderful housewarming or newlywed gifts, birthday or mother’s/father’s day presents, or just a special treat for a friend! Email us at sidney@sidneywagnerdesigns.com and we will direct you on how to purchase a gift card.
